Nestled in the southern Flinthills of Kansas, Silver Glen Ranch is a Berger Picard breeder or Picardy Shepherd breeder, raises farm beef, and was established in July of 1973. Acquired from the Ernest Briscoe family by Chris Rogers and his wife, Kathy, the ranch consisted of 1000 acres of pasture, farm ground and woodlands through which Silver Creek flows. Acquisitions of adjoining lands to the south and another tract two miles north from the present ranch configuration and provides the setting for the cattle operation.
